The sad truth is, that we have it a bit too far. It takes place in Mérida. Town in the south of Mexico, in the cradle of Mayan culture, on Yucatan.
Even you, who are now going to stop reading, because “I don’t have time and money for such a thing”, don’t hang your head and read on. We have a few interesting offers for you.
First of all it might be good to say something about what’s going on.
The main purpose of the conference is to put together the voices of the therapists, pedagogues, researchers, consultants from business and community environment, who apply the concepts of collaborative approach in their work. It is a unique opportunity to meet all, whose voices significantly speak in collaborative and social constructionist fields.
After all why to write about it, here is the link straight to official website, where you’ll find out everything: http://www.kanankil.org/eng
“We live in a time when national and cultural boundaries are dissolving. This continuous movement of meanings, traditions, people and practices comes with both challenges and opportunities. With an appreciation of the multiple constructions of realities and values, and a belief that collaboration is our major means of moving forward together, conference participants will both share and create enriching practices in diverse professional arenas.
Woven into the conference activities will be an exploration of the Mayan world, as one of the many indigenous/ancestral/cultural traditions that are alive in the world today. The conference theme connects with a new cycle of the Mayan calendar and the beginning of a new era. This moment in history calls for an exploration of the ways we relate to each other, to the knowledge of our ancestors, and to nature. Come join us on this journey.”
Is the thought of joining such an event attractive for you?
It’s time to introduce the tempting offers, which we promised in the beginning.
Let’s go together (and at low cost)!
Just the invitation to a conference taking place in the other half of the world might sound as a malicious joke. We were thinking how to make this long distance travel with lower cost and less worries for the potential participants. There shapes up a possibility to negotiate a discount, when we form a bigger group. Further details are still being discussed. If you are seriously thinking about the travel to Mexico and you like the idea of “group discount”, let us know on info@narativ.cz.

Open the dialogue about your practice!
Our second offer is particularly challenging.
Do you approach your practice or research from collaborative or social constructionist perspective? Would you like to open a dialogue about this experience with participants of the conference? Would you have the interest and courage to share such knowledge in Mérida in the form of workshop?
Then we have a unique possibility just for You.
The appeal is aimed ideally at two or more people groups, who would like to use 90 minutes for interactive work with extensive participation of audience. It is possible to conduct the workshop in English or Spanish. It should be mainly about cross-cultural experience which would introduce theoretical ideas and existing project/s or suggestions.
If you’re interested, please contact us latest on 10 October on info@narativ.cz.
We hope that at least some of you were inspired to dialogue in the Mexican rhythm.
Some of you might remember hearty invitation to Mérida from the workshop of Rocío Chaveste Gutiérrez in June. Of course it still holds. Currently we, team Narativ are joining this invitation too.
See you in beautiful Mérida!
